Hey guys. I am trying to sell my asus eeepc 900 here. It has a 900 mhz processor, 1 gig of ram, 16 gig solid state harddrive, 1.3 mp webcam, built in mic and speekers, b/g wireless and an rj 45 connection for broadband modems. my asking price is 400 dollars considering i have owned it for 2 months and theer is a vary little scratch on the lip but will not effect look. It is galaxy black, whatever that means. it runs xp home sp3. I want to let you all know that it does not have a cd drive but you can buy one that used usb for it. it is a little slower than most modern laptops. I'm trying to upgrade to the 1000 h model witch is way more superior than this one. I bought this one way too early. if i would have waited a month i would have been fine. I recommend this computer for internet and e-mail only. if you put avg on it it is slow as hell with it on. so, if you are interested, please let me know. The price is negotiable if need be. I would also like to let you know that the shipping is not included in this price. That will come when i sell it. My prefered method of pay is paypal because it is way easier than checks. So, if i have caught your interest let me know :). Thank you.

with the color, i'm thinking it is similar to what space would look like black with the white flecks for stars. would this computer be able to handle jaws? if not what screen reader wold be a good choice for it

you need to look at the retail price, the usual way of calculating second hand goods is half the price of retail, then a bit more off for any damage. there is really no lucritive market for second hand pc's, so be bloody careful when buying your computer hardware.

Well, since the Asus computer you are looking for has a list price of $470 and is being sold for $430 on Zipzoomfly.com, with 160gb hard drive, the new Intel Atom processor (1.6ghz), 7 hours of battery life, wireless N compatible and has a few other very cool features I really think the correct price for what you are selling is in the $220 range.
If you had sold it 2 months ago I think $320 would've been nearer the mark but these things just change very quickly and if you buy to early your laptop becomes worthless.
I hope you get a good deal but I have to comment when someone is trying to sell stuff for way above its value. May be I shouldn't because if you can find a buyer who is willing to pay this money for this computer that's just good for you. I saw you posted the computer elsewhere on a board and, well, best of luck with that.
But this computer is not going to sell for over $250 to anyone who does but a quick study of its capabilities.
cheers
-B
